AnnaBananza is a rock music celebration that supports social justice and affordable housing organizations in our community.
The inspiration for this event is the life of a hardworking and very loved young woman, Anna Bachman. Anna was born and raised in Cotati and spent most of her young adult life working to expand her knowledge in order to help those in need. She was committed to the idea that everyone deserves a roof over their head and a community to call their own. On January 12th 2014 Anna passed away in a tragic accident at the age of 25. Her loss was deeply felt by her family and friends, and those that she worked with over the years. AnnaBananza serves not only as a remembrance of Anna but also a way to encourage others to become informed and involved in the work that she believed in.
AnnaBananza 2014 raised $12,000 for Habitat for Humanity and Neighbors Organized Against Hunger (NOAH)
AnnaBananza 2015 raised $16,269 for Committee on the Shelterless (COTS) and Neighbors Organized Against Hunger (NOAH)
